Many major brands have tapped into NFTs to increase customer engagement, and Nike has been at the forefront of this amazing paradigm shift. Now, in what is a prime example of utilizing non-fungible tokens to create exclusivity and reward customer loyalty, Nike is set to deliver a physical version of the Air Force 1 NFT sneakers.

The NFTs have been developed in collaboration with RTKFT, a digital art studio Nike acquired in 2021. While, renowned digital artist Takashi Murakami takes lead on the project, coming up with unique designs that make up the Air Force 1 NFT collection. Now, the sportswear giant aims to avail the physical versions of these sneaker NFTs. However, only holders of the partnered NFTs will get a chance to purchase the exclusive physical versions.

That said, there will be a forging event between April 24 and May 8 that will take place on RTFKT’s website. Holders of the sneaker NFTs will place orders for the physical versions, which will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year.
