Popular open-world web3 RPG Illuvium has raised an additional $12 million in a Series A funding, bringing their total investment to $60 million.

The round was led by investors including Arrington Capital, Animoca Brands, King River Capital, and Spartan Group.

The funding will be used to enhance their current lineup of titles – auto-battler Illuvium Arena, open-world experience Illuvium Overworld, strategic companion game Illuvium Zero, and avatar system Illuvium Beyond – and develop new games in the Illuvium ecosystem.

What will this funding mean for Illuvium?

Illuvium aims to create an interoperable gaming universe where players can seamlessly utilize the same NFT assets across an array of different titles – all powered by their $ILV token.

This investment is set to culminate in the launch of three new, interconnected titles within the next three months, offering both new and veteran players fresh experiences in the Illuvium universe. These new titles will include a revenue-sharing mechanism, ensuring that protocol stakers benefit directly from in-game revenue.

Kieran Warwick, co-founder and CEO of Illuvium, commented on the funding, stating, “The concept of redirecting 100% of all in-game revenues to staked investors resonates strongly with our community.”
