The 2022 Battle Pass for Dota 2 will be released on 1 September.

Valve usually releases the Battle Pass in May but this year’s unveil is late because they wanted it to run through The International and “for a significant amount of time afterwards”.

“We want to make the time right after The International concludes, the best time to play Dota,” said Valve in a statement.

Previous TI Battle Passes had always been released months ahead of The International, which would allow fans to track the rise of the tournament’s prize pool.

And traditionally, the TI prize pool has been boosted by the Battle Pass, with the prize pool for TI10 coming in at US$40 million

TI11 will take place in Singapore starting on 8 October, with the Finals set for 29-30 October.

The prize pool for that is currently unknown.

Valve has not announced what will be included in the upcoming Battle Pass, but fans could expect a new Arcana set similar to previous Battle Passes.

Recent leaks on Reddit also suggest a Faceless Void Arcana and a Skywrath Mage Arcana might also be on the cards.
