Samsung Galaxy A23 and Galaxy Note 10 series start receiving May 2022 security update: report

Samsung Galaxy A23 and Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones would receive the May 2022 security updates. The security update for Samsung Galaxy A23 smartphones would be rolled out in some European countries including Germany and Russia. Other markets like Africa, America and Asian countries are expected to receive the latest update in the coming days. However, the May 2022 update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ is currently reportedly available in select Asian and European countries, including Malaysia and Switzerland.

According to a report from SamMobile, the May 2022 security update for the Samsung Galaxy A23 comes with firmware version A235FXXU1AVE4 which has been claimed to fix dozens of privacy and security issues in the handsets. The latest update is also supposed to fix some general bugs and will be helpful in improving the stability of the device, according to the report.

On the other hand, another report from SamMobile states that Samsung has also released the May 2022 security update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. The software update for these two smartphones comes with firmware version N97xFXXU8HVE5.

The report also states that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, which is not available in markets like India, is also getting the latest update with firmware version N976BXXU8HVE5 in Switzerland.

Just like the Samsung Galaxy A23, the latest software update for the Galaxy Note 10 series brings fixes to dozens of privacy and security issues. The update also fixes general bugs and improves device stability on the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.

As mentioned, the May 2022 update for the Samsung Galaxy A23 would currently be available in Germany and Russia, starting now. Meanwhile, Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ handsets are reportedly getting this software update in Malaysia and Switzerland.

Eligible Samsung Galaxy users will automatically receive the latest update. Users can also manually check for the update, in any of the countries mentioned above, by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy A23 was launched in India a few months ago. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series debuted in India in August 2019.
