In addition, Mead will offer guidance to further assist content creators in establishing a viable career in the creator economy, as well as advise brands on fostering organic growth within esports and gaming.

Before joining RTS, Mead spent close to 10 years at streaming platform Twitch, starting off as a Partnership Manager responsible for the EMEA region. He then progressed to the role of Director of Partnerships before relocating to San Francisco as the VP of Global Partnerships in 2019. For the past two years, Mead served as the Head of Global Creator Strategy & Operations at the company. His responsibilities included leading Twitch’s global creator experience and benefits programmes.

Moreover, Mead served as an Advisory Board Member for the British Esports Association for two years shortly after joining Twitch. He also competed for North American esports organisation Digitas’ Call of Duty team for a few years, at the offset of his career.

The newly appointed Chief Business Officer commented: “Throughout my tenure at Twitch I worked to facilitate and scale the quality and efficacy of services provided to its most popular streamers, which helped Twitch break through into the cultural mainstream we understand today. Whether it was driving the European business or building a global team from the ground up previously, I plan to keep that same commitment to growth with RTS and its mission as the company is uniquely positioned based on its people and its partners.”

Established in 2021, RTS boasts a leadership team comprised of prominent figures from the gaming and esports industry. Notably, popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anyshas assumed the role of Chief Creative Officer, alongside Stuart Saw, the former Director of Strategy at Twitch, serving as the CEO.
