The Esports Awards and North American sunglasses brand Oakley have announced a two-year renewal of their existing partnership.

As a result, Oakley will be an Offical Event Partner of the 2023 ceremony taking place in Las Vegas.

In recent years, Oakley has rapidly expanded into the esports industry through collaborations with former Call of Duty player Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and European organisation G2 Esports.

Alongside supporting the annual awards ceremony, Oakley will also support the Esports Awards Open, a celebrity pro-am golf tournament featuring a mixture of industry figures, professional golfers, and actors.

Aside from supporting the ceremony and golf tournament, Felipe Formiga, the Global Head of Esports and Gaming Partnerships at Oakley, has joined the Esports Awards panel. Comprised of industry experts, panel members judge award nominations distributed at December’s ceremony.

Following a string of partnerships towards the end of 2022, the Esports Awards joined forces with Matt Rutledge to launch a new awards ceremony focused on mobile esports. The 2023 Esports Awards will take place at Resorts World Las Vegas for a second year after spending three years at Esports Stadium Arlington in Texas.

“I’m excited to collaborate with such a fantastic company and can’t wait to show you what we have planned for 2023!”
