Nothing Phone 1 Camera Specs, Samples Officially Teased, New Renders Leaked

Nothing Phone 1 camera specs and samples have been officially teased ahead of its July 12 launch. Meanwhile, new high-quality renders of the phone have also surfaced online. Phone 1 will come with a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main sensor. The leaked renders show the color variants and design of Nothing’s upcoming smartphone. The phone is believed to be a mid-range offering that could cost somewhere between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000. It was recently reported that Phone 1 features an under-screen fingerprint sensor. The handset has also been confirmed without a charger.

The official specs and samples of the Nothing Phone 1 camera setup have been shared by the company via a blog post. As mentioned earlier, Phone 1 will feature a dual camera setup. The handset will sport a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size and f/1.88 aperture as well as an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 114° field of view. The phone also supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). Phone 1 will be capable of recording 10-bit color video and will be able to “capture a billion colors”, according to the company.

Official renders of the Nothing Phone 1 have also been leak by reliable tipster Evan Blass on Twitter. The renders show the black and white color options for the smartphone. Renders also indicated that Nothing’s handset will sport a metal chassis. The Nothing Phone 1’s power button would be located on the right edge while the left edge will house volume rockers.

As a reminder, Nothing Phone 1 is set for its global debut on July 12 and the handset could cost somewhere between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 in India. Earlier reports also pointed to an under-display fingerprint sensor, which is now believed to be an ultrasonic sensor. The phone is also said to come without a charger.

The Nothing Phone 1 is expected to cost somewhere between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000. 12GB RAM + 256GB range could be priced at EUR 549.99 (around Rs 44,000). Finally, the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage could cost EUR 499.99 (around Rs. 40,000).

Nothing founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the Nothing Phone 1 will feature a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. It will house a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. The smartphone is designed to sport a 6.55-inch OLED display with support for adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. Moreover, the display and rear panel could be protected by Gorilla Glass. The handset is said to run on Android 12 and will have an LED notification system known as the Glyph interface.
