FTX: Avengers Endgame’s Russo Brothers To Direct And Produce Amazon Prime Video Series About Cryptocurrency Company

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Prime Video’s FTX show will be written by David Weil, who previously created Hunters for the streaming service.

Founded by Sam Bankman-Fried in 2019, FTX has quickly become one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the market.

However, a series of revelations over the past month have led to devastating losses at FTX and its related trading firm Alameda Research.

FTX eventually filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States, and a group of investors sued the company and several famous endorsers for fraud.

Besides Endgame, Joe and Anthon Russo are also behind Marvel blockbusters such as Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

Since their Endgame days, the Russo Brothers have gone on to direct Tom Holland-directed Cherry for Apple TV+, and The Gray Man star Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans for Netflix.

Both were among the most expensive films for the respective platforms. A sequel for The Gray Man is in the works, Joe and Anthony should return as directors.

The untitled FTX series isn’t Amazon’s first partnership with the makers of Endgame.

The Russos are currently awaiting the release of the Prime Video spy series Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden.

In the feature film space, they set up the Millie Bobby Brown-led sci-fi flick The Electric State at Netflix, which is also said to have a massive budget.
