Jamtara The season 2 trailer is here. Following the release date announcement last week, Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for Jamtara: Sabka Number Ayega’s second series. The highly-anticipated series, based on true events, returns with “bigger, more dangerous scams.” The next season of Jamtara weaves old rivalries with new characters, as Jamtara’s local elections are fast approaching. Gudiya Mondal (Monika Panwar) is one such contender, taking on corrupt politician Brajesh Bhaan (Amit Sial). Jamtara Season 2 premieres September 23, exclusively on Netflix.
The trailer for Jamtara season 2 begins with a voiceover comparing age-old crimes to new ones. Specifically, the dacoits, who were a gang of armed robbers terrorizing the people of Chambal, Madhya Pradesh. “The days of dacoits are over,” says the narrator, implying that phone scams synonymous with Jamtara, Jharkhand, are the new trend. It then cuts to a montage of citizens being raffled off, as the scammers prepare a deck of fake Aadhaar cards. As the stakes rise, Rocky (Anshuman Pushkar) orders 5,000 SIM cards, hoping to train school kids in the art of phishing.
“I discovered a new scam. Want to know?” says Sunny (Sparsh Shrivastav) bedridden, as a means of recruiting children into their operation. who plans to kill him at some point in the story. During the first season, he tried to make a deal with the trio of crooks, wanting a piece of the business. And now he will be in the running for election against one of them “Gudiya”. “A nation is run by money, not by its leaders”, says Bhaan while hiring a group of thugs, who provoke a shootout during Gudiya’s election campaign .
Seema Pahwa (Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi) is a new addition to the cast of Jamtara, overseeing the electoral process. “To rise in politics, we must leave our loved ones behind,” she advises. It seems that this unnamed character has a preference for Gudiya, but there is no indication if she is aware of his scam operation. The Jamtara The season 2 trailer then dilutes into a frenzy of chase sequences, gunfire and celebrations, before revealing that the children were simply being used as bait for the police.
Apart from the aforementioned cast, Jamtara: Sakba Number Ayega season 2 brings back Dibyendu Bhattacharya as Inspector Biswa Paathak and Aksha Pardasany as Superintendent Dolly Sahu. In the crooks team, fans can expect to see Monu Kanojiya return as Chotu, while Kartavya Kabra plays Shabaaz. Soumendra Padhi returns to directing Jamtara season 2, from a script written by Trishant Srivastava – a season 1 writer.
