On Tuesday, Netflix announced that the next chapter in its true-crime documentary series will premiere September 7 on its platform worldwide. Meanwhile, Netflix has unveiled a 33-second first look at Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer, which will delve into the story of serial killer Raja Kolander. “He confessed to his crimes in front of the press, down to the smallest detail,” said an interviewee. Kolander is known having been cannibals, keeping skulls as trophies, and even having conversations with them.
The first look at The Diary of a Serial Killer comes a week after Netflix revealed the title for the second season of Indian Predator, where it also provided further details. Chandni Ahlawat Dabas is the executive producer of Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer, with Dheeraj Jindal as series director, Sudeep Nigam as screenwriter and Moumita Sen as creative producer. Indian Predator: Diary of a Serial Killer is an India Today Originals production. Not a single word about an episode counts yet.
Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer will arrive just seven weeks after the premiere of the first chapter, Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi. The three-episode miniseries followed the exploits of Chandrakant Jha, who laid minced corpses outside a prominent prison for years before being arrested. While The Diary of a Serial Killer shares a common title, there’s no connective tissue behind the scenes, with the entire creative team being different. The Butcher of Delhi was directed by Ayesha Sood and produced by Vice Studios India.

When a beloved young journalist goes missing in Allahabad, the whole community comes together to uncover the truth. In the process, they find an unlikely suspect – the husband of a small local politician.
