Assassin’s Creed Valhalla developer Ubisoft has announced the game’s next major expansion. The downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack – Dawn of Ragnarök – will be available for purchase separately. The latest DLC marks the game’s second year of post-launch support. Additionally, Ubisoft also announced Assassin’s Creed Crossover Stories featuring the characters Eivor and Kassandra. The Crossover Stories will be available in two stories and it is the first cross-game project in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Ubisoft has announced that the second expansion pack – Dawn of Ragnarök – for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available to players from March 10, 2022. As mentioned, this marks the game’s second year of post-launch support. Here’s the storyline from Ubisoft’s second DLC for the game: “Eivor must embrace his destiny as Odin, the Norse god of battle and wisdom”. The publisher claims that players will be able to “unleash new godlike powers as they continue their legendary Viking saga as they embark on a desperate quest for rescue across a mythological world of contrasts.”
Pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Dawn of Rangraök expansion pack are already live on the official website. The price of the expansion pack differs depending on the chosen platform. On Microsoft Store in India, the DLC is priced at Rs. 3,349 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S users, while on PlayStation Store, it is available for Rs. 3,300 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S users. PS4 and PS5. On Epic Games Store, it is available for Rs. 1,999 for PC users. Ubisoft+ subscribers on PC will have free access to the DLC as part of their subscription. On the official Ubisoft store, the DLC is listed for $39.99 (around Rs. 3,000).
Additionally, Ubisoft mentions that players purchasing the DLC between December 13 and April 9, 2022 will also receive the Twilight Pack and have immediate access to the game. It should be noted that immediate access is only available with the digital edition. Players who order the physical edition won’t have access to the Twilight Bundle until March 10. The Twilight Pack contains Dellingr’s Envoy Raven Skin, Havardr Lynx Mount, Twilight Gear Set, and Algurnir Dane Ax Weapon.
Ubisoft also announced the Assassin’s Creed Crossover stories that will be available for free to players on their base games starting December 14. It is the franchise’s first cross-game project – with one story available in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and one in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. In the previous story – A Fated Encounter – players must have reached settlement level 4 and must have completed the “A Wise Friend” quest. In this final story – Those Beloved – players must have completed Chapter 1 and reached Megaris to access the content.
