What are the system requirements for Ghost of Tsushima? Sucker Punch has finally revealed that its open-world samurai stealth game, Ghost of Tsushima, is on its way to PC. Based on what we’ve seen on other PS5 ports, we have a good idea of where the system requirements may land.
We don’t expect Ghost of Tsushima to demand the best graphics card, unless you’re aiming for 4K gameplay at 60fps. Despite Nvidia’s recent confirmation that the GTX GPU line is no longer in production, we still see these Pascal GPUs being the bare minimum you’ll need to start gaming.
Here are our predicted system requirements for Ghost of Tsushima:
Minimum | Recommended | |
Operating system | Windows 10 or later | Windows 10 or later |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 AMD Radeon RX 5500XT |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 AMD Radeon RX 6800 |
CPU | Intel Core i3 8100 AMD Ryzen 1300X |
Intel Core i7 9700 AMD Ryzen 7 3700X |
RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
Storage | SSD required | SSD required |
We are waiting for the Minimum system requirements for Ghost of Tsushima request an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or an AMD Radeon 5500 XT alongside an Intel Core i3 8100 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X. You can also expect 16GB of RAM to be required for all performance levels.
With the specs above, you should be able to get 30fps at 1080 on the lowest global presets, with upscaling technology like AMD FSR active.
For the Ghost of Tsushima Recommended SpecsWe believe you will need hardware similar to that required in the Horizon Forbidden West system requirements.
You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 GPU paired with an Intel Core i7 9700 or AMD Ryzen 3700X processor. These specs should net you 60fps at 1080p or 1440p, depending on which gaming monitor you’re using.
Given that it was a few years between the release of Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Forbidden West, we wouldn’t be surprised if the system requirements were lower overall for Sucker Punch’s open-world stealth adventure.
We are waiting for the Ghost of Tsushima download size sitting at around 80 GB, this is due to the inflation sometimes seen between PS5 versions of a game and their PC ports. Horizon Forbidden West picked up over 40 GB more, but started with a much higher base download of 100 GB.
The Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima is around 60GB on PS5, so expecting an extra 20GB for the PC port seems reasonable. We also expect one of the best SSDs for gaming to be recommended across the board, but the game can still run and download on a traditional hard drive, with just a few performance compromises.
We also expect Ghost of Tsushima to be compatible with Steam Deck, based on Sucker Punch’s feedback on optimizing for handheld devices.
