Jeff Bezos has added the finishing touches to his $175 million Beverly Hills mega-mansion, which features a reef-themed pool and full-size outdoor tennis courts.
Aerial footage of the Amazon founder’s sprawling estate reveals recent updates in the construction process underway over the past four years. Nonetheless, the house still appears to be a work in progress.
Recent updates include the installation of private basketball and tennis courts, as well as elaborately designed tropical-themed pools.
Bezos, whose staggering net worth is nearly $200 billion, acquired the massive 10-acre property, previously owned by former Warner Bros. chairman Jack Warner, in early 2020.
Construction briefly stopped in April 2023, when Bezos failed to finalize a planning application for a new “playground fence”, but resumed soon after in May.

It consists of a three-story main house, a guest house, a gym, a pergola and a caretaker’s house.
But in April last year it was revealed that the mega mansion expansion had been put on hold indefinitely after Bezos failed to finalize a planning application for a new “playground fence”.
Bezos had planned to expand the property with a new pool house, powder room and retaining walls.
An initial request was granted in 2021, but Bezos submitted a new request to add a “playground fence with lighting” in January of this year, but it was denied because the documents were incomplete.
The original request called for adding about 1,000 square feet to the 28,000-square-foot mansion. However, in just a month, construction resumed.

The purchase set a Los Angeles real estate record before being broken by Marc Andreessen who paid $177 million for a seven-acre estate in Malibu the following year.
The record was previously held by media executive Lachlan Murdoch, who paid $150 million for a Bel-Air estate known for his appearance on the 1960s TV show “The Beverly Hillbillies.”
The same year, he paid $10 million for the house next door.

Three of the apartments in the 25 Central Park West complex were purchased in 2019 for a reported $80 million.
It then paid $16 million this spring for a fourth unit at the height of the pandemic in 2020.
The 1912 building includes a fitness center, yoga studio, treatment room, game room, game room and screening room.
In 2016, he also invested $23 million in a mega mansion in Washington DC, three years after buying the Washington Post.
The property – located in the upscale Kalorama neighborhood – was once the Textile Museum.
It is in the same neighborhood where the Obamas, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump lived.
Bezos – the world’s third richest man – spent three years expanding the property which had 11 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms at the time of its completion.
The tycoon resigned as chairman of Amazon in 2021.

Bezos paid $165 million for the 13,600-square-foot Georgian-style mansion in 2020, setting a Los Angeles record at the time.
