Give this marketing team a bonus as Hyundai Motorsport has hilariously recreated Rockstar’s very first GTA 6 trailer.
The first trailer for the upcoming GTA 6 last month further increased the hype around Rockstar’s game. The trailer featuring fan-favorite Lucia with Tom Petty’s “Love Is A Long Road” easily surpassed the all-time views recorded by the first GTA 5 trailer in twelve years, and now has over 169 million views. Since the trailer’s release, there have been various recreations, including one in GTA V, but this news from the Hyundai Motorsport marketing team deserves additional praise. The “Grand Test Auto XXIV” video recreates the Rockstar GTA 6 trailer in a rather hilarious way, complete with Tom Petty’s lovely soundtrack. Check it out below:
GTA 6 is expected to release on consoles in the first quarter of 2025, although analysts at Bank of America expect the game to be delayed and imagine a release closer to the end of 2025 is more likely. “The first trailer for GTA 6, while exciting, did not contain elements that convince us that the game is indeed in alpha testing,” analysts Omar Dessouky and Arthur Chu said last month. “In addition, there is no mention of a PC version which would be launched in 2025.”

Given the incredible popularity of the game’s first trailer, we can only imagine how big this game will become, especially given the continued success of GTA V – over a decade after the game’s initial launch. GTA V, the game is still selling strong and topping the sales charts. As reported in November last year, sales of the game are approaching 200 million units worldwide.
