Baldur’s Gate 3 is getting a physical Deluxe Edition on Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC

Baldur’s Gate 3 will receive a physical Deluxe Edition next year, developer Larian Studios has announced.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition will be released in “Q1 2024” and will be available on Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC for $79.99 / €79.99.

The Deluxe Edition will include a number of physical extras, including:

  • A physical copy of the game on Xbox Series X (three discs), PS5 (two discs), or PC (one disc containing a CD key and installer)
  • A world map
  • An original soundtrack (3 discs)
  • A Mind Flayer poster
  • A Deluxe Edition box, designed to match the PC “big box” editions of previous games
  • 32 stickers
  • 2 patches

It will also include the following digital extras:

  • Deity Item Pack
  • Bard Song Pack
  • Exclusive Dice Skin
  • Paintings by Rivellon
  • Adventurer’s Pouch
  • digital OST
  • Digital art book
  • D&D Digital Character Sheets

At the moment, the physical edition can only be pre-ordered directly from the Larian website.

Baldur’s Gate 3 was released in August to widespread critical acclaim, with the PC and PS5 versions currently sitting on a Metacritic score of 96.

The game is still expected to release on Xbox Series

An Xbox version was delayed and, at one point, seemed unlikely to be released before 2024, apparently due to the apparent belief that Microsoft was demanding full feature parity between the Xbox Series X and Series X versions.

This proved to be a sticking point for Larian, as he struggled to get the game’s co-op mode to work on the less powerful Series S hardware at a level he was happy with.

However, after Xbox boss Phil Spencer said feature parity wasn’t actually a requirement, Larian founder and CEO Swev Vincke posted on Twitter that a solution had been found that would allow The game will be released on Xbox Series X and Series S this year. .
