The smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. The Vivo Y01A is said to have an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP selfie camera on the front.

According to a report by MySmartPrice, Vivo is going to launch the Vivo Y01A smartphone in the Indian market as soon as the smartphone is spotted on the BIS India certification website with the model number V2166. The smartphone is said to be a budget Y-series handset from Vivo. The report adds that the price of the smartphone may be lower than Rs. 10,000 in India.

Unfortunately, the listing didn’t reveal any specs of the Vivo Y01A, but another report from Passionategeekz pointed to some specs of the handset. The smartphone was designed to feature a 6.51-inch display with HD+ resolution and a plastic back. It is expected to be powered by MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and may come with an 8MP rear shooter and a 5MP selfie shooter on the front.

The smartphone has also been designed to feature 1 GB of virtual RAM, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage. The report adds that the handset may be launched in other regions before coming to India.

In May, Vivo launched the Vivo Y01 in India with the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone features a 6.51-inch Halo Full View display with HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display also benefits from Vivo’s Eye Care mode, which is supposed to reduce blue light emissions. The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It also comes with a Face Wake feature which wakes up the smartphone when a user looks at the screen.
