WYLDE Esports, an Irish esports organisation co-owned by retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, has announced a multi-year partnership with sportswear brand PUMA.

PUMA will become the official kit partner for the esports brand, with all WYLDE rosters wearing PUMA player kits. The two parties did not disclose further plans or financial aspects of the partnership.

WYLDE is a relatively young esports organisation that has already made big moves in the space. Usain Bolt, a 100m record holder and multiple Olympic gold medalist, joined the organisation in March 2022. The organisation currently has rosters in FIFA, VALORANT, Rocket League and Rainbow Six: Siege.

PUMA is a German sportswear brand that is highly active in the esports space, as well as in traditional sports. It is currently partnered with NAVI, entropix, Gen.G, FUT Esports and other esports brands, mainly as the official apparel partner. Usain Bolt, the Co-owner of WYLDE Esports, is also a PUMA ambassador, having partnered with the brand in 2003.

WYLDE recently made headlines after winning the Rainbow Six GSA League and signing a major partnership with Virgin Media, a British telecommunications company, in 2022.

Usain Bolt, Co-owner of WYLDE Esports, commented on the partnership: “My relationship with PUMA has been very strong throughout my career. It is very special for me to see my WYLDE esports team aligned with PUMA as we build a global esports organisation.

“Our WYLDE professional players around the world will be wearing PUMA kit proudly as I have myself for so many years.“
